Can’t think of a better day to start a new blog.
If one would have told me that a man in his early forties with no executive experience in government or business–someone who never ran anything before with a thread bare portfolio–a man who had been a Senator for less than 2 years when he started running, would end up beating the savvy Clintons for the democratic nomination and wind up being elected President in these very tumultuous times.
I would have looked at the calendar to see if it was April 1. Throw in the fact that he is a man of color and a Christian with a Muslim name and I really would have thought it unbelievable.
However, here we are–Barack Obama is our President for better or worse. I am beginning to think for worse!
Although I voted for the other guy, I celebrated that a black man was finally elected–a historical moment. I decided early on to at least give him a chance to prove himself. I even signed up and committed to pray for the new President and his family everyday and still am.
I even hoped that all of those pundits who wrote that Barack would govern from the center were somehow correct. Now a couple of months into his administration I find that I oppose nearly all of his policies and can’t take it anymore. I will still be praying for the man and his family personally while I oppose his administration and speak out loud and clear.
I plan to post about all of the things I’m against and all of the flaws and missteps that I see, both by the President and his administration. Don’t look for anything positive about this President here–he already has thousands of cheerleaders in the mainstream media.
I plan to search out all of the stuff that they ignore, find and post links to all the good articles of the loyal opposition and hope for the best. Maybe in 4 years we help elect a new president and I can flush this site. Until then, this is going to be a serious and sometimes a ‘tongue in cheek’ humorous "Official Obama Derangement Syndrome Blog". April Fools? Nope!
