For months we were told that the Obamas would choose a new ‘first dog’ from the pound. Apparently they couldn’t find any aristocratic Portuguese water dogs there! Fortunately Senator Edward Kennedy stepped in and provided this cute new addition to the White House scene.
The dog was named supposedly named after Michelle Obama’s Father whose nickname was Bo Diddly? I think the ever self- absorbed Barack Obama named him after himself—using his own initials: B.O. = BO
