The special relationship that the US and Israel has had for over 60 years went out the window the minute that Barack Obama became president.

Usually when Israeli dignitaries visit the US they are immediately received by their government counterparts in the US, not so since Obama was installed as President. Now Israeli officials must stand in line with the rest hoping to be favored with a few valuable minutes of the Obama administration time and many have been left pounding sand.

Now we get word that President Obama is going to give a special address to Muslims from Egypt. According to Press Secretary Robert Gibbs:

“This is a speech to many, many people, and [is part of] the continuing effort by this president and this White House to demonstrate how we can work together to ensure safety and security…of the children of this country and of the Muslim world.”

So there you have it. Pres. Obama already supposedly addressed the Muslims from Ankara, Turkey and now will try again from Egypt? He has yet to speak similar words of encouragement to our best friends in the Middle East—Israel—the only real democracy in the area. Not only that, behind the scenes, Israeli official are now admitting to be concerned and feeling more than neglected by the new President.

This of could have been predicted since Barack Obama has counted a number of radical Palestinians among his circle of friends in the past.
