Today there is a special election in California to determine whether taxpayers want to pay more and keep supporting a run away budget with no end in sight. The polls all indicate a major tax revolt in underfoot. Could this be “a shot heard around the world”—a beginning of a tax revolution that will spread along with the recent “tea Parties” to every state in the nation?
California is particularly hard hit by the recession, yet the state lawmakers and governor refuse to curtail their drunken spending habits. No matter how much the tax revenues have increased in the last several years, the state legislature finds ways to spend even more.
Now that there are incredible shortfalls because of the recession they come to the electorate with hat in hand asking for even more to cover for their incredible backsides. Not even considering or caring that tax increases will result in more businesses leaving the state and end up creating an even worse situation.
The answer to these idiots is NO! HECK NO! GO POUND SAND!!
President Obama are you listening? US Congress do you hear? You are next!
**UPDATE: All of the tax increase measures went down to defeat today in California. The only proposition that passed was a measure to block politicians from raising their own salaries when there are budget deficits. Time to celebrate!
