Thursday was to be the highlight of the year for more than 100 kindergarteners from Conway Elementary in Stafford County, Va. They got up early and took a chartered bus to the White House then were turned away because Pres. Obama and his staff were getting ready to hang out with the NFL Superbowl Champion Pittsburg Steelers.
The Kids not only didn’t get to see the President but were even barred from the White House tour that they had planned for months to see but were slightly late for. After all, a bunch of sniveling kids isn’t going to keep Obama from hanging out with the Steelers.
One parent observed:
"Here we have President Obama and his administration saying, ‘Here we are for the common, middle class people,’ and here he is not letting 150 5- and 6-year-olds into the White House because he’s throwing a lunch for a bunch of grown millionaires."
