Obama’s Muslim Speech: He Commits to Spend More of Our $Money

In the speech Pres. Obama gave today in Cairo to the Muslim world he committed the U.S. to spend lots of our $money helping to develop the backward Muslim countries of Afghanistan and Pakistan:

We also know that military power alone is not going to solve the problems in Afghanistan and Pakistan. That is why we plan to invest $1.5 billion each year over the next five years to partner with Pakistanis to build schools and hospitals, roads and businesses, and hundreds of millions to help those who have been displaced. And that is why we are providing more than $2.8 billion to help Afghans develop their economy and deliver services that people depend upon.

Of coarse this is in addition to our continued commitments to rebuild Iraq. He also talks about sponsoring student exchange programs and paying for Muslims to be educated in our colleges and universities.

ODS Expositor: I never saw a president that was more into spending our hard earned $dollars—now sending them off to far away places where we are mostly hated? All at a time when we are suffering from one of the worst recessions in recent history.
