The invite is still on for Iranian diplomats to come to Obama’s Independence Day celebrations. Even in spite of all the supposed hard talk that Pres. Obama gave today about how concerned he was about the way the Iranian government was treating the protestors.

Truth be known, his actions speak way louder than his words here—and his words are weak enough. The fact that the Iranian diplomats are still welcome says volumes about Obama’s attitude toward the election protest. He should be treating the Iranian government like the illegitimate pariah that it is.

But no! He still wants to be friends with these killers. He actually still thinks that he can talk them out of developing nuclear weapons—what naiveté!

UPDATE (6/24/09): Pres. Obama finally rescinded the party invite today.
