Remember when he said over and over again during the campaign that he would only raise taxes on the rich—those with incomes over $250,000? I thought he was lying and a deceptive louse at the time. Now there is no doubt.

The Prez is now pushing for his ‘Cap and Trade’ bill to pass the Senate which will effectively and indirectly tax every living thing and person in America—poor, middleclass, and rich. All energy will be excessively taxed and everything produced in America will by necessity have to be increased in price with no relief in sight.

Again here is a rundown of the ‘Cap and Trade’ effects– our evaluation of the bill from a previous article:

If this bill is passed and signed by Obama, all of our energy bills will increase by $1,000’s per year, but also nearly every single thing made in the United States. Businesses will also end up paying more for their energy and the additional costs will be passed on to the consumers in the form of price raises on all products and services.

Results summarized:

1. Est. $3,100 per year increase in energy costs for family of 4.

2. Prices raises in all goods and services.

3. Coal industry will virtually be shut down.

4. Products made in America will be less competitive on the international market.

5. Tens of thousands perhaps 100’s of thousands in lost jobs.

All of this at a time when we are already in the midst of a huge recession—what next Pres. Obama, are you really trying to destroy the American economy—the best economy in the world? If not, you are sure doing a good job of it anyway. Is this the kind of change you folks out there voted for? Well thanks a lot!

These guys want to remodel your home!

Here’s a dirty little secret from the 1,200 or so pages that Congress didn’t read before they passed the so-called ‘Cap and trade’ bill. Provisions within the bill call for buildings and houses to be inspected by the state for conformity to the new energy-efficiency standards every time a property is sold or changes ownership.

Energy efficient retrofits could eventually be required by your state for your own house. Federal funding is tied by the bill to the percentage of houses and buildings in the state that comply to the new standards. Though the bill does not specify particular fines it leaves it to your state to determine how houses and buildings will be brought up to the new standards.

In other words, if your state wants federal money expect your state to require homes and buildings to be brought up to the new energy efficient codes at the time of sale.

Something to look forward too if this bill passes the Senate! Now is the time to contact your senators and let them know how you feel before it is too late.

First there is the strange case of SC Gov. Sanford who self destructed before our very eyes. A valiant Republican who was standing up and rejecting Obama’s supposed stimulus $, a possible GOP contender in 2012, only to go down for the count tripping over his own incredulous zipper.

Second comes the spectacle of a major network—ABC, with a storied past becoming an infomercial shill for Pres. Obama’s Healthcare debacle. Not only did the once venerable network show only one side of this issue, they even rejected paid ads that would show a contrary view. Rush is right—ABC has become part of Obama’s “State –Run Media”.

Third is worst of all—the spectacle of 8 turn-coat Republican Representatives voting in the huge tax increase and job killer-Obama/Pelosi’s Cap and Trade bill. That was a fitting end to a horrible week that was.

The only thing that made it even worse was waking up this morning and seeing Prez Obama cajoling the Senate to complete the dirty deed and foist the worst tax increase/ business and job killer ever in the midst of a severe recession—actually the results will be anti-stimulus and pro-recession. Over a million jobs could be lost and thousands in lost $ for every family in America.

I almost forgot–Fourth–Obama didn’t exactly support the Iranian people in their protest against their despotic leaders did he?

Oh yes, a very bad week indeed. The only thing that could be worse is if the Senate actually passes the Cap and Trade monstrosity next week.

ODS Expositor: Barack and Nancy are rolling the dice here hoping that their compliant MSM will ignore the story until they get this crazy *** passed. If they can keep regular folks from finding out about it and contacting their Congressional Reps, they figure that this is their best chance to get it done. A few months into his first term (and hopefully his last) Pres. Obama is demonstrating to us all that his radical liberal agenda and ideology are far more important to him than the American economy and regular people.

The Waxman (D-CA)/Markey (D-MA) “cap and trade” bill is making its way through Congress under the encouragement of the President. The bill is suppose to help address so-called ‘Global Warming’ but ends up destroying the economy instead—with little demonstrable results.

During the election campaign Obama had promised that his energy policies would increase everyone’s energy bill:

“under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket.”

However, this really doesn’t begin to cover it. President Obama announced his “mileage and pollution plan” for the auto industry today. According to administration officials, the new standards would only add $1,300 or so to the cost of a new vehicle. However, other research indicates that 1,000’s of additional deaths due to accidents should be expected in the much smaller and flimsier cars.

ODS Expositor: Barack has already done incredible damage to the American auto industry now he is going to make it even harder for the companies to survive. After all, someone actually has to buy those cars for the industry to survive! I just may be hanging on to my old SUV for a lot longer than anticipated.
